Yemaya by Linda Queally
artist note: Yemaya is the “Mother of the Ocean” and is one of the Orishas in the Yoruba culture. She is associated with the stars and the moon, she wears skirts of blue, and as a Mother Goddess, she is protective of all children. She represents home, fertility, love and family. She’s the thirteenth piece in my Mer Series!

I wanted to do a sun-themed companion piece to an older drawing, and I really liked the way they looked side-by-side. :)
